Intentionality

Good children are raised, not born and good parents are made not born.  Behind every decision is a purpose, an intention. As the saying goes, start with the end in mind.

Life can be explained as a series of small and large decisions. Very seldom in life do we see tragedies or difficulties without antecedents. Everything comes from something.   Parenting with purpose means making value-driven decisions. From choosing how to respond to your teenagers disrespectful comments to how to tame your toddler's tantrums. We all want to respond rather than react.  If we know where we want to be and why, then the how fits in accordingly.
