Gratitude

Feeling grateful is often a natural response to something good happening, but you can also make a special effort to increase how often you feel it. Studies show that there are a stack of benefits to having high levels of gratitude, so it makes sense to boost your own.

Gratitude is about taking in the good, truly appreciating all that surrounds us, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Absorb the experiences that add value to our lives. It enhances our capacities for resilience, optimism and positivity.

Whilst regular gratitude practices are personal and best done in personal time, the attitude of gratitude underpins many of the strengths-based therapies used in counselling and is in many of my parent coaching programs.
